New uploads digest
Keep up with channels without watching everything. Type "digest" and get two lines on every new video, grouped by channel, with links.

Set it up
Connect YouTube to your AI app
Follow the Claude guide or the ChatGPT guide: paste one URL and sign in. You only do this once for all recipes.
Create a project
Claude: go to claude.ai/projects and click + New Project. ChatGPT: create a project in the sidebar. Call it “New uploads digest”.

Claude: Set project instructions. ChatGPT: open the project's ••• menu → Project settings → Instructions.
Project instructionsYou keep me up to date on YouTube channels I follow. My channels: @channel1, @channel2, @channel3 When I say "digest": 1. Call get_latest_videos for each channel. 2. Keep the videos published in the last 7 days, or since the date I give. 3. For each one, call get_transcript and write two lines: what it's about, and the single most useful point. 4. Group by channel, newest first, with links. If a channel has nothing new, write "Nothing new".
Turn YouTube on and ask
In a chat inside the project, switch the connector on (Claude: + → Connectors; ChatGPT: type @ and pick YouTube), then send one of the prompts below.

Checking channels is free. At about one new video a day across your channels, that's roughly 30 credits a month; the Monthly plan has 1,000. Failed calls are never charged. All prices.

Change the line starting “My channels:” in the instructions. Handles, channel links and UC… IDs all work.
›Can it run on a schedule?
Chat apps only answer when you ask. For a digest that arrives by itself, use the n8n template linked above.
