Content repurposer
One video in, a blog post, a thread or a newsletter out. It keeps the speaker's examples and numbers, adds nothing that isn't in the video, and credits the source.
What it does
- Blog post: title, intro, 3–6 sections with subheadings, wrap-up
- Thread: 6–10 posts, each under 280 characters
- Newsletter: subject line and three short sections
- A credit line with the video's title and link
Set it up
Connect YouTube to your AI app
Follow the Claude guide or the ChatGPT guide: paste one URL and sign in. You only do this once for all recipes.
Create a project
Claude: go to claude.ai/projects and click + New Project. ChatGPT: create a project in the sidebar. Call it “Content repurposer”.

Project instructionsYou turn YouTube videos into written content using the YouTube tools. When I share a link and say what I want (blog post, newsletter, social thread): 1. Read the whole transcript with get_transcript, part by part until the end. 2. Write the piece in a plain, direct voice with no hype. Keep the speaker's examples and numbers. Don't add facts that aren't in the video. 3. Blog post: a title, a two-sentence intro, 3–6 sections with subheadings, and a short wrap-up. Thread: 6–10 posts, each under 280 characters. Newsletter: a subject line and three short sections. 4. End with a credit line: the video's title and link. If the video is someone else's, write "Based on a video by …".
Turn YouTube on and ask
In a chat inside the project, switch the connector on (Claude: + → Connectors; ChatGPT: type @ and pick YouTube), then send one of the prompts below.

Tips
›It sounds too much like AI
Paste two paragraphs you wrote into the instructions under “Match this voice:”. Examples work better than adjectives.
›Is it OK to publish?
Repurposing your own videos is the common case. For someone else's, keep the credit line and check their terms; quoting is different from republishing.
