Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or making a request to YouTubeTranscriptAPI, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

YouTubeTranscriptAPI provides programmatic access to YouTube transcripts and metadata via REST API and Model Context Protocol. We do not host video files or any copyrighted content beyond what is publicly available from YouTube.

3. Acceptable use

  • You will not use the service to violate YouTube's Terms of Service.
  • You will not redistribute transcripts or metadata in ways that infringe copyright.
  • You will not attempt to circumvent rate limits, billing, or authentication.
  • You will not resell raw API access. Build a product on top of it.

4. Billing

Plans are billed monthly or annually as selected. Top-up credits are valid until the end of your current cycle. Failed payments may result in service suspension.

5. Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may cancel anytime; paid plans remain active through the end of the current cycle.

6. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. Our liability is capped at the amount you paid in the prior 12 months.

7. Changes

We may revise these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced by email.
